Nolan Cup Presentation Night

On Wednesday 18th June St Joseph’s celebrated the fantastic achievement of our victorious U-18 team who won the Danske Bank Nolan Cup earlier in the year. Pupils, parents, coaches and staff gathered in the assembly hall to celebrate this historic win.  The team were presented with their medals and a souvenir jersey. UK Maths Challenge

St Joseph’s celebrate success in UK Maths Challenge

The UK Maths Challenge took place on 1st May 2014.  It is a registered charity whose aim is to advance the education of children and young people in mathematics.  A number of our Year 9 pupils took part in this very prestigious competition.  We are delighted to announce that a number of students received a bronze certificate – Eoghan Mc Mahon, Tadgh Baxter, Micheal Hearty and Brandon Bennett.  The best in the school was awarded ... Success for Year 8 Girls in the Ulster School’s football blitz

24 teams competed in the Peil Shield group stage.  St Joseph’s entered two teams where they competed in different groups within this section.  Team A came first in their group section which meant they progressed on to the semi final stages.  Team B came second in their group losing only to Rathmore Grammar School, Belfast, by one point. Year 11 Students raise money for Trocaire

Pupils from Year 11 raised a total of £565.00 for Trocaire’s 2014 ‘Make Every Drop Count’ campaign.  The students raised awareness of those parts of the world where people do not have clean drinking water and provided each Form class with a Trocaire box.  Further money was raised by holding a raffle and sale of solidarity bracelets made by Year 8 pupils.
