Eco School – Bug Hotel

St Joseph’s Eco School Committee have been very busy constructing a Bug Hotel to boost the biodiversity of the school. Old pallets were used to construct the tower and the roof. The pupils were encouraged to take in slates, flower pots, bricks, pipes, logs and straw to make cosy accommodation for the local creepy crawlies. On behalf of the Eco School Committee, Mrs. E. Coffee morning

Coffee Morning

St. Joseph’s held a coffee morning on Saturday last for Macmillan Cancer Support and for the Red Cross Vanuatu Appeal . Thanks to the generosity of friends and neighbours almost £1,300 was raised. There were so many cakes, pastries etc. donated for the coffee morning that the hard-working members of staff at the school also got a chance to sample the fare on Monday afternoon.
