St Joseph’s supports the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust

After the tragic death of our highly esteemed past pupil Niall Quinn from Silverbridge we encouraged families and individuals to make voluntary donations to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.  We are delighted to say that we raised £1000 for this very worthy charity. Year 11 Double Award Science visit Killowen Outdoor Education Centre

Year 11 Double Award Science recently went to Killowen Outdoor Education Centre in preparation for their upcoming Biology exam. The group investigated the impact light has on the biodiversity of organisms by carrying out a belt transect in the forest.  They also used several sampling techniques to collect insects and analysed their adaptations to survive in their habitats. For another year St. Joseph’s have been embracing all that is Irish in their celebrations of Seachtain Na Gaelige. Several events were held to mark the event and the school came alive with craic, ceol and comhrá. On Wednesday 16th March there was a ‘La Mor Glas ‘ and a special assembly was held to mark the event which showcased some of the best talent in South Armagh with dancers, singers and the grupa cheoil. ... 28th Annual School Formal

On Wednesday 16th March, our Year 12 students and their guests had a great night at their Annual Senior Formal which was held at the Carrickdale Hotel. Students, staff and their partners let their hair down for an unforgettable night. Thanks go especially to Mrs Traynor and the formal committee, who through their meticulous organisation, ensured the night was a roaring success for everyone, including the many staff who came along to support our Year 12 pupils.
