Operation Christmas Child 2016

Ruth Agnew from the ‘Samaritan’s Purse’ charity launched the annual Shoebox Appeal ‘Operation Christmas Child’ at St Joseph’s last week.   Ruth explained how making up a shoebox of small gifts can bring great joy to a child who will not receive a gift on Christmas morning.  This year the boxes from South Armagh will be presented to children in Eastern Europe.  We are asking all of our pupils to bring in a shoebox full of ... On Tuesday 11th October 2016,  a large contingent of students represented St Joseph’s HS, Crossmaglen  at the Newry, Mourne & Down Cross Country Championships and we in PE Department want to congratulate them on their great performances and fantastic achievements. St. Joseph’s High School, LEISUREWEAR

Year 8 Ladies Gaelic Football Blitz

On Friday 7th October 2016, the Year 8 girls from St Joseph’s,  took part in a very successful intra-mural Ladies Gaelic Football Blitz. Organised by Miss McCarron (Head of PE) and coach Michael McElroy, in what is now an annual event, the enthusiastic players represented their respective form groups with the five classes playing each other in a round robin competition. AS Geography Students field trip to Whitewater River in Attical

The AS Geography pupils went to the Whitewater River in Attical - Co Down, to complete a meander study on Thursday 13th October. Pupils measured the width and depth of the channel from the inside to outside of a meander. Pupils had to decide if there was a correlation between distance across the meander and bedload size.
