On Tuesday 11th October 2016,  a large contingent of students represented St Joseph’s HS, Crossmaglen  at the Newry, Mourne & Down Cross Country Championships and we in PE Department want to congratulate them on their great performances and fantastic achievements. Eimear Traynor District Champion 2016

DISTRICT POST PRIMARY SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPION

Congratulations to Year 9 pupil, Eimear Traynor who defended her title at the District Cross Country Championships for Post Primary schools held in Lurgan Park last Friday.  Eimear ran a fantastically timed race in the Minor Girls 1500m, and despite the chasing bunch of girls doing their best to catch her, she finished strongly to hold on and become champion for the second year in a row. Cross Country Success for St Joseph’s

  In November, a large contingent of students represented St Joseph’s High school, Crossmaglen at the Newry, Mourne & Down Cross Country Championships in Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor. ULSTER POST PRIMARY SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY FINALS

    Year 8 pupil, Eimear Traynor performed with distinction at the recent Ulster Cross Country Finals for Post Primary schools.  Having won her District event, Eimear ran confidently in the Mini Girls 1700m race, and despite the breezy and exposed Mallusk conditions, finished in a very credible 13th position. ‘Cross’ Success for St. Joseph’s in Schools Running Event

On Tuesday 11th November over 40 pupils from St. Joseph’s High School Crossmaglen took part in the Post-Primary Cross Country Championship event at Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor. The Newry and Mourne district event saw a host of School’s from the area take part, with the St. Joseph’s pupils digging deep in atrocious weather conditions to take home a fine haul of medals and plaques.
